I saw the Crafted Portland in Pioneer Square Yesterday, and I have to say, it’s impressive. Beautifully crafted and well designed. This is the result of a collaboration between Danner and Oregon College of Arts and Crafts.

I love how it’s actually built and not Photoshopped. Keep it up Portland!

I’m currently reading Blake Mycoskie’s (Founder of TOMS shoes) book. I know, his name isn’t Tom. The TOMS stands for “Shoes for Tomorrow”. The book is great, so inspiring and references what’s current and changing. Emphasizing the greater good and how people who are lost in this technology rich environment still want to hold on to something, stand for something and play a part of the bigger picture. I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for something more, and ready to make an impact on the world around them. (I hope that’s you!) Learn More Here: Start Something That Matters

DIY Projects: It’s Fall, and I keep seeing beautiful wreaths on the doors of all the great big homes in the NE Irvington neighborhood. Jealousy sets in and I wish I had my very own autumnal wreath.
Busy Mommy shows you how to make your own Autumn Wreath.
PS I Made This also did a post on how to make your own Starburst Mirror.  (Another great DIY project with a beautiful result)

I don’t usually posts about other blogs, usually they’re added to my links list of great blogs & sites, but this one is too good.  http://psimadethis.com/
She teaches you how to make beautiful things out of very ordinary things.  Yes!

Portland is so Cool.

I just went to an outdoor art-fair Last Thursday-ish event out on Alberta.  One group that definitely caught my eye was JUST_SEEDS
They’re an collective group of artists promoting and selling their work together.  Very cool stuff.

Check out some of my fav’s:

This weekend I attended CRAFTY_WONDERLAND on the EastSide in Portland!  Such a great event.  I spoke with the man behind Hungry Eyeball and  met a couple of awesome artists, including Truen Pence  and Nicole Linde (Above).
