I’m currently reading Blake Mycoskie’s (Founder of TOMS shoes) book.
I know, his name isn’t Tom. The TOMS stands for “Shoes for Tomorrow”.
The book is great, so inspiring and references what’s current and changing. Emphasizing the greater good and how people who are lost in this technology rich environment still want to hold on to something, stand for something and play a part of the bigger picture. I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for something more, and ready to make an impact on the world around them. (I hope that’s you!)

Patagonia’s Don’t Buy This Jacket Campaign is paying off. It’s said that customers feel more loyal to the brand, and is creating the conversation that Patagonia wanted to spark.
- This is one interesting campaign, but it makes sense, and sheds an incredibly positive light on Patagonia, especially considering the audience.

There’s a new gallery on Alberta; It’s called Antler.
It’s tiny, and lovely, and the owners are so nice. The art is consistently hip and gorgeous. I recommend it to Portlanders and out-of-towners.
This is hands down the best TED Talk I’ve ever seen.
